My name is Sue N. and I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in August, 2015.
I had a small lump in my breast that was not detected during exams or my last mammogram. The cancer had spread throughout my spine and to my liver and lung. After surgery to remove a massive tumor in my cervical spine, radiation treatment, and chemotherapy, I continue to fight.
I discovered Circle of Hope when I went looking for a support group to help me with my journey. It has been the most positive part of my cancer journey. I have met such wonderful, supportive women who listen, give helpful advice, share their story, and provide a common friendship that one needs on such a cancer journey. Circle of Hope has helped me emotionally and financially.
I’ve fallen on hard times because my insurance maxed out and, needless to say, cancer treatment is expensive. Circle of Help reached out and provided some funds to help with my medical bills. I can’t always make every monthly meeting but I always feel I can call a friend from Circle of Hope for emotional support if needed.
The group wants to continue its efforts to help breast cancer patients and survivors like me. If able and willing, your financial assistance would be greatly appreciated! ~ Sue N.
